    Fact-Check Policy

Accuracy comes first at Daily Research News. This page explains how we check what we publish and how we fix mistakes.

    Sources

We base our reporting on primary sources wherever possible: published studies, official data, company filings and announcements, and statements from the people and organizations involved. Each article lists the sources it uses in a References section at the end.

    Checks before publishing

    • Every figure, date and quote is checked against the source it comes from.
    • We keep the source’s own qualifiers, such as “about” or “more than”, and we do not round or stretch the numbers.
    • We report findings at the strength the research supports. A link between two things is described as a link unless the study shows cause and effect.
    • A second team member reviews each article before it is published.

    Health and science research

We say when a study is early, small, or done in animals or cells, and when it has not yet been peer reviewed. We check press releases about research against the study itself.

    Corrections

If you find an error, email [email protected] with the article link and what you believe is wrong. When we confirm an error, we correct the article and add a note that says what changed.
