Samsung Galaxy S11 is reportedly launching with 5 models

Technology

The upcoming Samsung flagship is reported to come in five different models. Compared to the S10 line, these are two more models.

For the loyal S10 user, it may feel a bit strange: in a few months their device will no longer be ‘the cream of the crop’. Technology developments are continuing at a rapid pace, including in the smartphone industry.

Well known
According to Evan Blass, who is known as a ‘reliable tasty’, the upcoming Samsung flagship will be released in five different models. Blass tweet that we can count on a regular S11, a plus model and again an e-model. The latter model is actually a thinned variant of the flagship, while retaining the most important luxuries. The S11 and S11e also come with 5G support, which puts the counter of the total number of models at five.

Three screens
Just like the previous year, the S11 comes in three different screen sizes. The smallest screen is a 6.2-inch or 6.4-inch display and this screen size is expected to be intended for the Galaxy S11e. The other two screen sizes are 6.7 inches and 6.9 inches, probably intended for the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy S11 +. For comparison: the Galaxy S10 + and Galaxy S10 5G have a 6.4 inch and 6.75 inch screen.

108 megapixels
In addition, the camera of the S11 line also gets a major upgrade, if we may believe the reporting from Blass. His story corresponds to the Samsung rumor mill, which has been running at full speed for several weeks.

The camera of the Samsung S11 would be able to photograph with 108 megapixels. And that is a huge difference with the current flagship model of the Korean smartphone manufacturer, which can only take 12 megapixel photos. The S11 could also record videos in 6K resolution.

More battery power
In addition to a larger screen and a better camera, the S11 would also have a larger battery. The S11e, which will be the lightweight of the line-up, would already have a 4,000 mAh battery. For comparison: the S10e contains only 3,100 mAh. The plus model of the S11 line is reportedly getting a 5000 mAh battery. It is still unclear what the battery capacity of the 5G models will be.

Rumor has it that the Galaxy S11 will be introduced on February 18, prior to Mobile World Congress 2020. If this is true, Samsung fans will only have to wait three months for the official unveiling of the company’s new flagship smartphones.
